Hunter also has extensive experience in dealing with Wall Street professionals, including those who work at private equity firms, hedge funds, and investment banks.With all of his experience, plus a strong belief in continuity and family, working with the Gaber Group came as a natural fit for Hunter. With specialties in life insurance trusts to ultra-high net worth clients requiring more aggressive tax oriented strategies, wealth transfer, multi-generational/dynastic planning, Hunter helps clients visualize how estate planning is very unique to the individual and the families they leave behind.Unbeknownst to Hunter, the impetus that would leave a strong impact and lead to his current success and career choice was already in place. The early passing of Hunter’s grandfather left him with firsthand experience of the challenges faced by family members left behind. Although very young in age, Hunter’s desire to help families never faltered. He felt it is what his grandfather would have wanted if given the opportunity.Hunter also has taken an active role with the non-profit organization, All Stars Project, where he mentors inner-city students who may want a career in finance in their future.A native of New York, Hunter graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana University Bloomington. In 2012 he became an Executive Consultant to Penn Mutual. Throughout his distinguished career, he’s earned many of Penn Mutual’s awards, including its most prestigious, the National Chairman’s Award. In addition, the General Agents’ and Managers’ Association (GAMA) has consistently recognized his contributions to the industry, including honoring him with its coveted First-in-Class Award and 13 Master Agency Awards. Prior to his work with Penn Mutual, Paul served as General Manager for Phoenix Home Life and General Manager for Prudential. From 1974 through 1977, he was a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Treasury.Active in the industry, Paul is a member of the Penn Mutual Agency Association, GAMA, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and serves on the Boards of Directors for the American College Foundation and the GAMA International Foundation. He is a past president of the New York City Chapter of Financial Service Professionals, and served as a past president of the New York City General Agents’ and Managers’ Association, as well as the Northern New Jersey General Agents’ and Managers’ Association.Paul is the recipient of multiple Penn Mutual National Chairman’s and National President’s Awards from the years 2005 through 2012. He also received the Life Sales Leader Award, the Annuity Sales Leader Award, the HTK Leader’s Award and the Life and Annuity Premium Growth Award multiple times throughout his years with Penn Mutual. Paul graduated from LaSalle University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He earned the juris doctorate degree from Seton Hall University Law School, graduating magna cum laude. In 1978, he was awarded a master’s degree in tax law from New York University. A past 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Paul is a Vietnam Veteran and earned a Bronze Star for his service. He is Series 6, 7, 22, 24, 26, 63, 68 licensed, and holds Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. Paul resides in Allenhurst, New Jersey with his wife, Dee. They have two children and two grandchildren.
